Order Management System
about.
We designed a hybrid Order Management System (OMS) that seamlessly integrates in-house logistics workflows with third-party partners such as Delhivery and RazorpayX. This architecture enabled rapid development while ensuring end-to-end coverage of all business and user needs. The system centralizes order processing, automates dispatch and payout operations, and provides a unified, reliable experience across multiple service providers.
challenge.
Designing within a tight timeline, which required focusing on the most critical order flows and creating a structure that allowed fast iteration.
Addressing the challenge of reducing returns by conceptualizing a more reliable verification process and defining how an E-Inspection workflow could help improve accuracy before dispatch.
Ensuring that all these considerations came together in a cohesive, scalable system that supports both operational needs and a smooth user experience.
design approach.
Research focused on understanding key stakeholders—sellers, delivery partners, and buyers—to uncover their motivations and pain points.
Through interviews with sellers, we learned that most prioritize lower commissions and features that help reduce returns.
Interviews with buyers revealed a desire for an inspiration-to-purchase journey and a platform they can trust, especially when it comes to seller reliability.
With these insights, we designed the user flows and features to directly address these needs while also working within our time and Delhivery-related constraints.

E-Inspection
E-Inspection is an AI-assisted quality check done before dispatch. It verifies your product for damages, defects, or mismatches to ensure the right item reaches the customer.
Upload Images for E-Inspection
Upload clear images or videos of the product from all required angles. Our AI will review them for any damage or mismatch. If the inspection fails, you can retry by uploading new images. After 2 failed attempts, the system automatically moves this order to Manual Inspection for further review.
Package Details
After the E-Inspection is approved for the seller, the buyer also reviews and approves the product. Once buyer approval is completed, the seller proceeds to enter the package dimensions and weight. These details are used to automatically calculate the delivery cost before dispatch.
Pickup Requests
Pickups happen at the store level, with only one pickup request allowed per store per day. All included orders must be fully packed with shipping labels attached, and packages are scanned by the field executive during pickup.
Create Pickup Request
To create a request, the seller selects a pickup date and slot, then chooses from the list of orders (only packed orders are shown as eligible). Pickup requests can be cancelled if needed, but doing so may incur penalty charges for the seller.
result.
The OMS we built establishes a streamlined foundation for the entire inspiration-to-purchase journey, bringing clarity and consistency to how orders move through the system. By introducing AI-powered E-Inspection and a tightly structured operational workflow, we expect to improve product verification accuracy and potentially reduce return rates once the system goes live. The platform is designed to enable faster processing, fewer manual errors, and a more reliable fulfillment experience. Overall, the OMS positions us for scalable growth and is set to strengthen operational efficiency as it rolls out.
